It is FREE to register with Sure Start projects. All services are FREE and VOLUNTARY. So use what you want, when you want!
Our registration process typically looks like this:
- A parent/carer contacts the project (via phone, email, contact form, or social media) and provides their full address.
- Our admin team reviews the address to see if it falls in our jurisdiction. If it does then the information gets forwarded to our Outreach Team. If it does not then we notify the family.
- The Outreach Team contacts the family (normally between 10-14 working days) to schedule a time to complete their registration forms and review all that is currently available with Newry SureStart.
- The Family is welcome to use any services or attend any programmes how and when they want.
Your information is stored in your family file on site and our SureStart Go database. This information is kept secure and handled in strictest confidence.

Newry SureStart provides programmes for families with children aged 0-4. Unfortunately we are unable to offer places for children older than 4 so older siblings are unable to attend.
We have lots of different types of programmes from baby massage, cookery, wriggle and rhyme, crafts and much more. There are programmes you and your child can do together or programmes you can enjoy as a parent while your little one has fun in creche. There’s something for everyone!

We offer a combination of Drop-In programmes (where no booking is required), and programmes that require you to book in. Every month we send out a newsletter with lots of info on the programmes we have on and any special events coming up.
